LABTECH AWARDED EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY APPROVAL FOR METAL-BACKED PCBS

Labtech, a member of the Intelek Group and
UK-based manufacturer of microwave printed circuit boards, announce that they have received European Space Agency (ESA) approval for their metal-backed microwave circuit boards.

Approval was awarded during the development of circuits for use in a MEO (Medium Earth Orbit) satellite system, providing phone, data, fax and messaging and information services worldwide The approval, which is generic rather than restricted to this specific project, is for PTH (plated through hole) aluminium-backed boards with a range of finishes : bare copper, passivated copper or nickel/gold.
