LABTECH LAUNCHES NEW RANGE OF DLVAS
Labtech Microwave, a UK-based broadband microwave components design and manufacturing specialist supplying highly engineered hardware for the Defence EW Sector, is launching a new range of Detector Log Video Amplifiers (DLVAs).
To meet the growing high tech global demands and the ever-increasing complex subsystem designs, the company is introducing a new miniature Extended Range DLVA (ERDLVA) with an 80dB dynamic range to complement its Standard Range DLVA product lines.
Labtech has extensive experience of producing DLVAs covering frequency ranges up to 40Ghz with Dynamic Range up to 80dB.
With DC coupled and CW immune options available, the DLVAs have a temperature range of -40 to +85 o C are small in size and weight for airborne applications, have fast rise times and all units are hermetically sealed.
All manufacture and environmental testing is undertaken in a class 10,000 clean room with fully automated chip placement and wire bonding. Labtech can fully test components/ sub-systems and integrated assemblies to the full Mil-Std requirements demanded by various customers around the world.
The LMV005 is a CW immune DLVA with a 45dB (-40dBm to +5dBm) dynamic range operating over the frequency range from 2GHz to 18GHz. Chip hybrid circuits are used throughout to minimize size and maximize performance.
The frequency flatness of ±1dB at the video output is maintained over the full dynamic range and temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, as is the 25ns video pulse rise time. Custom options for DC or AC coupling and dynamic range to 50dB are available.
The LMV001 is a CW immune ERDLVA with an 80dB (-70dBm to +10dBm) dynamic range operating over the frequency range from 2GHz to 18GHz. In addition, the unit includes an output RF port that delivers 40dB gain over the full frequency range.
The frequency flatness of ±2dB at both the video and RF outputs is maintained over the full dynamic range and temperature range of -40°C to +85°C as is the 25ns video pulse rise time.
The small outline - 41mm x 31mm x 12mm for the LMV005 and 50mm x 45mm x 12mm for the LMV001 - and rugged hybrid construction makes both products ideal for the restricted space and weight environments of modern airborne and manpack applications.
